A few reminders:

Our PE days are Monday (indoor) and Wednesday (outdoor).

Even in Year 5 and 6, it is really beneficial for children to read aloud to an adult regularly (at least once a week). Children should be encouraged to develop intonation and expression when they are reading, as this leads to further enjoyment of a text. 

All homework is set on Fridays and due on Wednesdays.

Our library day is Friday.

Homework in House Martins:

In House Martins, we get three pieces of homework per week: Maths, English and Spellings.

Homework is due on a Wednesday and given out on a Friday.

By the end of Year 6, children are expected to correctly spell and use the words listed on the document below: 

Times tables are a key component to many of the mathematical concepts we study in House Martins. Please continue to practise these with your child at home, perhaps by using Times Table Rockstars or similar apps.
